"If medicine is the science that gives years to life, physiotherapy is the science that gives life to the years.

Physiotherapy

We apply different techniques for the prevention, maintenance and recovery of the body's functionality.

Physiotherapy in Cala Millor

Dry Puncture

It is a physical therapy technique in which we use needles similar to the ones employed for acupuncture to eliminate very localized contractures that we call myofascial trigger points. Currents can also be applied to the needles (dry electro-puncture).

Dry puncture is especially indicated in patients with:

Cervicobrachialgia

Tension headaches (headaches)

Bruxism

Fiber breakage

Muscle, work or sports overloads

Epicondylitis

Pubalgia

Plantar fasciitis

Instrumental Myofascial Fibrolysis

The technique consists of applying hooks of different sizes and shapes on the skin, to treat muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascias ...

The hooks reach deeper planes where the fingers can't reach or are difficult to reach due to bone structures, etc ...

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy consists of the application of specific manual techniques of great therapeutic value, applied with the best tool a physiotherapist has: his hands.

This type of therapy includes a wide variety of techniques including: joint mobilization, functional massage, muscle stretching, active and passive stabilization, nervous system mobilization or exercises and maneuvers that aim to improve the patient's strength, muscle coordination, endurance and overall functional status.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

When pelvic floor muscles are weak, too tight, or have been injured (tearing, episiotomy), pelvic organ function can be altered, which can cause urine leakage, prolapse, or problems during intercourse.

Among the techniques used to make a good treatment in the pelvic floor are manual and myofascial therapy, perineal massage, pelvic floor exercises, hypopressive gymnastics, behavioral techniques and treatment by electrostimulation.

Craniomandibular dysfunctions

Craniomandibular dysfunction includes all functional disorders related to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the muscles involved in its movement.

Its presentation is very varied: pain in the joint, clicking of the opening or closing, headaches (headaches), facial or cervical muscle contractions, limitation in opening, even blockage in opening or closing; earaches, acufenes (ear noises), atriction (wear) in the dental enamel, etc.
